Dating back more than 200 years to the original Sydney wharf markets, Sydney Markets is one of Australia's oldest continuously operating trading marketplaces. From humble beginnings, it has grown into one of the largest fresh produce and flower markets in the Southern Hemisphere.
In 2025, Sydney Markets celebrates 50 years at the current Flemington site, marking five decades at the heart of Greater Sydney and one of Australia's most important fresh produce and flower supply chains.
